# clsServiceAppManagerBase

`clsServiceAppManagerBase` is a lighter-weight alternative to `AppManagerBase` for service-style (e.g., WCF) application managers that only need a data-portal reference and none of `AppManagerBase`'s security-role/context/message-accumulation machinery or the inherited `clsBusinessBase` surface. It is intended to be used together with the `Service Based` result types (`ServiceResponse`, `ServiceMessage`, `ServiceMessageType`) to build a service-oriented result contract distinct from `AppManagerBase`'s UI-message-string approach.

## Purpose
- Provide a minimal application-manager base for service-style managers, holding only an `IDataPortalInfo` reference rather than the full `AppManagerBase` lifecycle contract.

## Context
- Namespace: `SAIF.Application`
- Assembly/package: `SAIF.Application` (embedded library)

## Public members
| Member | Signature | Purpose |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `DPI` | `Public ReadOnly Property DPI As IDataPortalInfo` | Exposes the data portal supplied at construction, for use by concrete service-manager subclasses. |
| `New` | `Public Sub New(inDataPortalInfo As IDataPortalInfo)` | Stores the supplied data portal reference for later use by the subclass. |

## Behavioral notes
- Unlike `AppManagerBase`, this class does not inherit `clsBusinessBase` and defines no security-role or message-accumulation state; it is a distinct, independent base intended for lighter-weight service managers.*

## Constraints and usage notes
- Concrete subclasses are expected to pair this base with `ServiceResponse`/`ServiceMessage` for result reporting, though no such wiring is enforced by this class itself.*

> **Note:** Statements marked with * were inferred from code structure, naming conventions, or
> contextual evidence where direct confirmation was not available in source artifacts.
